New Friends

People have been so warm and welcoming here. It helps that we are all in the same boat in terms of moving to a totally unfamiliar place without knowing many people, but still, our colleagues here are awesome.

We really got close on our Mikumi trip. There is nothing like sharing a bus with 20 excited and like-minded people for 5 hours to spark some friendships. Our conversations ranged from past living and teaching experiences to what we were excited to experience in Dar.

Although the internet here is often not working and we are trying to get a hold of all of our friends and family when we can, just know that we are settling in well, meeting new people and are being invited to have fun new adventures often. All of the support here so far has made it a great experience and we have our new friends to thank for that!
