Walking Around the Temple Village

After leaving Bayon temple, we took a stroll around. There are many temples clustered together in this area and since there was a celebration going on, there were many people milling around. Although it was raining, people were still seeing the sights throughout the muddy streets.

People were putting together floats with flags and decorations on them for the festivities.

One of my favorite sights of SE Asia are people traveling on bikes with all sorts of baggage. I’ve taken quite a few shots but this was the best of the day. The woman on the bicycle has two huge bags of recyclables behind her back.

Here is another common sight. Not only do they pack the scooters to the edge here, but it is common to see people wearing masks around.
