People do not typically have dryers, and people also do not typically have ovens. Lucky for us, our New Zealand landlord chose to put one in our new place. I am settling in quite well without a dryer, but do not know what I would do without an oven. Just for baked goods alone, in the US I used mine quite a bit. Roasted vegetables, garlic bread, baked tofu… you name it and I baked it. Now I just have to make good with my intentions and actually use the thing. It remains to be seen whether it is will be a necessity over here, but I am glad that I have the choice to use it or not.
